Colours

For the main colours that I want to use in my Magazine, I might be choosing 
Blues and Purples as it indicates a professional and more formal way of representing the Sixth Form school. For important information, I will use yellow to highlight and attract the reader, as yellow marks the importance and maybe the useful information about the school.

What Would you like to see in a school Magazine 

I asked a few friends and family about what they would like to see in a school  Magazine when looking for a new school to enrol this was their responses.

1. Recommended Movies, Games and Books from Students.
2. Mini Quiz, Riddles and Tips for Studying or starting at new Schools
3. Random funny but interesting updates on what is generally going on.
4. School Rates
5. Events that are taking place
6. After School clubs
7. Competitions
8. Images
9. Bright colours that are eye catching

Photo Shots Planning

Photo Shots Plan for School Magazine ( 6th Form)

• For the front cover I would like to use a high angle shot of a school building , The reason for this is so that the reader can picture themselves in the new area for the next step of their education. I might want to include students to give a sense of meeting new people that are interested in the same subject as you.

• Another idea for the front cover is of a big open door at low angle shot, to indicate a sense of welcoming to the reader and to make them feel like they have a good opportunity for their future plans.

• I want to include Head on and front lit images of Teachers in the Magazine so that the reader can become familiar with who is who at the School so they are able to recognise who they need to talk to when they are asking for help.

• In addition I want to use back lit images of students to give the effect of the reader being able to imagine themselves in that position. Indicating the fact that it could be you, that the school wants you and needs you to fill in that position.

Weekly Journal (2)

The task was to create a School Magazine, so I started to think about  what kind of Angle shot I would take for my front cover and what images I would capture, so I bullet pointed simple ideas of what I wanted to create for my front cover and contents page. 

I also started to consider what kind of thing people wanted to see in a School Magazine, so that I could get an idea of something that people would actually look forward to and be interested in to read my magazine, so I simply asked some of the students at the school what they would like to see in a school magazine if it existed. 

Weekly Journal (1)

By the end of the week, I have gained a little bit of knowledge on how to use photoshop, this was helpful for my future task, which was creating a School Magazine, front cover and contents page, I learnt things such as changing fonts, adding texture and effects such as 3D to tittles, I have learnt how to insert and combine multiple pictures together, also learning how to change the couple of background or clothing or any other object in a image.

In addition I also got to know about all the different angle shoots that are used and what their names are and what effect it gives to the audience, this was the same for the of colours, how it creates mood and atmosphere and how it sets a vibe to a Magazine.
